My romance with the earth
forbidden in its nature
by society, who is to decide,
but nature itself, what is forbidden
i inhale freedom of thought
and out i breathe doors locked by ignorance
Lenny and the mouse ran through the woods
looking for salvation
they came across a wall of thoughts
blocking thier so called "infestation"
Lenny turned to the mouse and screamed
"we havent enough traction"
the mouse just sighed and rolled his eyes,"infailable plan, very failable actuion"
Lenny banged away at the wall
screaming the lord in vain
He screamed,"oh lord were gonna miss
that freedom-bound train"
The mouse sat down in the grass
as if to accept thier inevitable fate
but lenny kept a'bangin away
his fist upon that gate
As the gaurds arrived lenny was tied down
and the mouse taken in again
The System had once again bea
I chuckle to myself as I watch it all pass by.
They laugh, they scream, the joke, the curse, and sometimes they will cry.
Ive seen blizzards Ive seen fire and found that more than not,
Im stuck atop this bench all day sitting in this spot.
People call me crazy
But all I do is stare
Because its like a TV show
And Im in my lazy chair.
I have seen the world but never left this place.
I can see what you have seen by looking at your face.
Ive seen my share of problems, but none to do with me.
If everyone sat down and gazed theyd see it as I see.
People call me crazy
But all I dont really
Something Overhead
Like a horse running away from a barn
Like a cat whose lost his ball of yarn
Like a church thats locked its doors
Man, when it rains it pours.
Like politicians asleep in their chairs
Like a grown man losing his hair
Its Christmas and they closed all the stores
Man, when it rains it pours.
Maybe you had a son and then you sent him to Iraq
Maybe you cant stand the thought of him not coming back
Im not crying
Im not whining
I just think it needs to be said
Sometimes I just want something overhead.
Like a fire after a drought
Like a devils deal with no way out

He threw in myths,
He threw in rules,
He threw in wisdom;
He dreamed up fools.
He threw in truth,
He threw in lies,
He threw in opinions in disguise.
Lo and behold at what he created,
The book was born, and so it stated:
No man shall oppose me, I am God, obey!
The others were made to kneel and pray
To a fairy-tale role over who wars were fought,
Because we lust to know what is and what is not.
In hindsight, there are those who live to disprove
Others beliefs, but they refuse to move
Because regardless of what logic finds,
They will always have their peace of mind.
So you say it is what it is
And you say kids will be kids
You say bad things will be sought
And wars will be fought
You say it is what it is.
You say we are who we are
And you say all wounds leave scars
But let me tell you, man
Youre living a plastic plan
We dont have to be who we are.
Anarchy doesnt have to be violent
Visionaries dont have to be silent
Nobody knows
What everybody knows
What is aint gotta be what it is.
You say republic is the way to go
Because you havent the guts to say no
The politicians plan
Is set to help the land
But what does he know, youre the working m
Gather your books son, and get on to school,
Youre the loon in the distance, everyones fool
And when they are lying
Youd better believe it.
Get out of my class boy, and dont start a fight
If you think you belong here, youd better think twice
Leave us,
And dont come back.
You can go on home,
Leave us alone,
You can go on home,
But you cant stay here.
If you think youll come back, and shoot up the place,
Then think again, we molded your face,
Dont try us,
Youre not gonna win.
You can go on home,
Leave us alone,
You can go on home,
But you cant come back.

He awoke to a sudden sound from down the mountain,
a place he does not venture to anymore.
its been 40 years but whats time if no one's countin'?
to the world around, hes shut the door.
Then a madman bursts in looking for shelter
fresh blood on his hands, and fire in his eyes
he speaks fuitive cliche to the hermit
nobody panics, and nobody dies.
But its alright, its all for one.
its alright, its all for one.
a blind priest stumbles into the cabin
screaming profecies until both men agree
such stubborness raises them a question
"how can you preach if you cannot see?"
But its alright, its all for one.
its alright, its all for one.
